Click the "Host an Image" button on the tool bar (the one that looks like a picture and a floppy disk, holding your mouse on the icon will bring up the title of the button). In the window that opens, click the "File" radio button and then the "Browse" button. In the next window, find and select the file you want to post and then click the "Host File" button.

The next window gives you three choices:

Thumbnail: which gives you code to past into your post that places a thumbnail of the picture that when clicked takes the viewer to the page where the file is hosted.

Image: which gives you code to paste into your post that displays the file.

Image URL: which gives you a link to past into your post.

Click the "Copy" button next to the method you want to use. This highlights the link or code, which you then right click and select copy. You then paste the link/code into your post where you want it to appear. Not as user friendly as SMC, but it works.

The files are uploaded to another service that then hosts your file.

Thanks Dik for the help, very ez once you walked me through it Smile

nice sketchup renderings, I am trying to learn the basics, any advice on ways you learned the ropes would be helpful. I have watched some of the online tutorials but it seems like someone once recommended "sketchup for Dummies" at some point .

Jason, I have not read "SketchUp for Dummies", but the author (Aidan Chopra) has some excellent video tutorials to go along with it. They are posted on YouTube, so you could search for his user name "adrianchopra", or there are links on the book's web site:
www.sketchupfordummies.com

I'll will be glad to answer any questions if I'm able. You can ask here for everyone's benefit, or PM me.
