| Do you all recommend using silicone spray on the guide rails? Or any kind of lube? Occasionally, frequently or never? How the blade? I believe Dino uses silicone in the video about trimming the EAC but don't recall using it in any other of the videos.

Silicone is not recommended because it can damage the wood. I personally use a product called "Top Cote". Others use johnson paste wax and I believe a few use the min wax wax.

| As Burt said, silicone isn't recommended. The problem comes when you go to apply a finish to the wood. It can have a, "Fish eye" effect that isn't easy to correct.
I've never used any lubricant on the rails and it's been fine for me. But since some paste wax or Top cote or whatever will make things slide easier it doesn't sound like you can go wrong with it.
